Business Operations Specialist

We’re a dynamic and growing organization, and we’re looking for a dedicated Business Operations Specialist to play a pivotal role in our success. Your role as a Business Operations Specialist will be instrumental in bolstering our team’s performance. You will spearhead efforts to enhance efficiency, refine processes, nurture collaboration, and ultimately, drive forward-looking outcomes. We’re looking for a Business Operations Specialist with a positive, can-do attitude—one who relishes the chance to eliminate obstacles and create an environment where every team member can excel.

What you’ll do

The Business Operations role at Sched demands a distinctive blend of qualifications and skills, essential for navigating the intricate terrain of SaaS, a fully-remote workforce, and customers located across the globe.

While technical proficiency holds its significance, the hallmark of a thriving Business Operations Specialist lies in the fusion of outstanding communication prowess, robust interpersonal aptitude, and a natural talent for creative problem-solving.

Your role is responsible, but not limited to, the following:

  • Administration (40%) – Work with accounting partners to ensure they have what they need in regards to taxes and financial reporting. Create SOPs and business mapping for essential company processes. Own the administration and centralization of all tools and systems.
  • Operational Excellence (30%) – Oversee the management of contracts and maintain a central repository for important documents. Act as a point of contact for internal and external stakeholders regarding compliance, tools, and administrative matters. Continuously review and improve processes related to operational and administrative functions.
  • Compliance Management (30%) – Ensure company is up to date with all industry-specific compliance (GDPR, CCPA, PCI, etc.). Partner with the PEO on all employer compliance.

Required Qualifications:

  • Resourceful: You Possess a high level of knowledge and skill when it comes to finding the information quickly and effectively.
  • Ownership:  You take the initiative to bring about positive results. Not waiting for others to act, and caring about the outcome as much as an owner of the company would.
  • Tech Savvy: You have experience with the following tools and, if not, have knack for picking up new systems quickly: Hubspot, Google Workspace, Basecamp, Recurly, Stripe, Pendo, and Github. 
  • Industry Experience: You have experience working in a SaaS and B2B business, preferably in the events management industry (e.g. as a vendor/supplier to the industry) or in organizing large events (e.g. conferences).
